THE coolest photographer in the business - the Cobrasnake, also known as Mark Hunter, has an online vintage boutique that I absolutely adore - 'The Cobra Shop', on his website www.thecobrasnake.com. It has been a very dull and boring week for me, work work work and NO internet which has meant NO blogging :(
BUT, I am back, & better than ever.
First things first - I finally am the proud owner of a polaroid camera!!! Well, I haven't received it yet, but I did win it on ebay last night!! BIG UPS!
Today I would like to bring to your attention - MAURIE & EVE. I have been a fan of this label for a little while now, and each season's line is continually better than the last.
'Kelly Davies, Maya Clemmensen & Scott Davies are the celebrated design trio behind the Sydney based women's wear label, Maurie & Eve.
Founded in 2004... the label uses subtle style references from past decades, utilising these starting points to create modern and accessible fashion items.
Having established themselves as a mainstay within Australia's burgeoning fashion industry, they have garnered a dedicated following of devotees, who favour their contemporary use of fabrics, colour and fit.
Not stopping with just apparel, the label has evolved to offer a range of highly popular footwear and a capsule collection of swimwear for summer. The Maurie and Eve girl has a confident and relaxed approach to style with a knack for combining feminine styles with a tougher edge.'

WINTER WONDERFULS
This week winter has officially arrived in Perth, even though it is only MAY! The freezing weather, although hard to adjust to at first, brings with it some lovely clothes - wooly jumpers, dresses worn with stockings, leggings, leather jackets, fur coats, fur vests, boots, blazers, scarves, cute beanies & berets, etc etc!! So, to celebrate the winter season, I present to you my favourite wardrobe staples for this WINTER 2010!
THE BOYFRIEND BLAZER - the perfect staple for your wardrobe this winter, as it is very versatile! Can be worn as casual day wear with jeans & a t shirt, or to dress up an evening outfit.
This winter, I really want a red boyfriend blazer. Like this one Kristin Cavallari is wearing here:
Which is very similar to this 'FRIEND OF MINE' NEREDAH JACKET (RED)
I am also loving fur coats (faux of course!) I have a vintage fur coat I bought last winter which I will definitely be wearing again this season. I also adore this MINK PINK 'Pussy Galore' Faux Fur Jacket
I also love to wear oversized knits in winter. I have a few oversized vintage jumpers that I love, and I am on the look out for more this season. I definitely think one of these 'Horace' Oversized Long Hand Knits is also in order, but I don't know which one I like the best!

Not only are they comfortable & stylish, but they are so easy to add to almost any outfit.

INSTANT LOVE
My latest mission is to win a fabulous vintage polaroid camera on EBAY. I have always loved polaroids, and I feel like getting artistic with one. Polaroid announced in February 2008 that they would no longer be producing polaroid film. Although Polaroid have since released a new polaroid instant camera, I really love the look of the old ones. I am a vintage lover at heart, so this is probably why! & thank god for 'The Impossible Project' - 'A new generation of instant film for polaroid cameras. Carefully manufactured to slowly develop in your hands. Proudly produced by The Impossible Project at the former polaroid factory' www.the-impossible-project.com. The amazing people at 'The Impossible Project' restore and do various tests on Polaroid film, ensuring that it will still be in working order well beyond the used by date.
So this week, my own project is to acquire a Polaroid camera of my own. So until I can share my own pictures with you, here is some instant love to enjoy.

WILDFOX COUTURE
I am really loving WILDFOX right now, the clothes are so fresh and vibrant, I want a piece! Wanting to find out more about the label, I did a bit of reading on the internet - and found this on the WILDFOX website http://www.wildfoxcouture.com, which I think sums everything up pretty well!

WILDFOX COUTURE is an American Vintage-inspired women’s knitwear brand. Combining great style and unsurpassed quality, Wildfox has quickly gained a following amongst celebrities, trendsetters and top retailers worldwide.
Childhood friends Emily Faulstich and Kimberley Gordon are the creative force behind Wildfox. Inspired by sleepovers, beautiful books, fairies, dreams, vintage t-shirts and their friendship, the young designers gave birth to a brand based on love and having fun! Things had gotten too serious in the world of fashion, and it was time for a change. They created their t-shirts for every person, soft, baggy, bright and fun.
Together with musician Jimmy Sommers as CEO and President of Wildfox, the brand was officially established in Los Angeles in 2006. Today, the girls spend their time visiting vintage shops and working out of their Silverlake-area design studio - where they sew their hearts on their sleeves and spread peace and love through design.
BRIGHT & FUN are the two words that stand out to me. Who wouldn't want to wear their clothes after seeing these photos?
The slouchy, comfortable and bright t-shirts and jumpers are definitely eye catching!

Rosemount Australian Fashion Week 2010
Rosemount Australian Fashion Week 2010 has hit Sydney, so I thought I would share some of the looks straight off the catwalk that I just love!! Australia is home to so many amazing designers, and I am glad we embrace fashion the way we do. I think we are very fashion forward, the 'effortless cool chic' look has become the face of our fashion culture, and I think we pull it off very well!
